What manicure table is best for you
A manicure table is a basic, yet overlooked item in a nail tech’s equipment. Your table should fit your criteria, for example, what work do you do mostly, do you go to clients or do you work from home.
In this article, I try to help you come to a conclusion on what manicure table will best suit your needs as an individual.

What to look for in a manicure table
Always remember to check that both sides of the table can accommodate a chair. This will make it a lot easier to work on someone sitting right across you. Avoid tables that have a support piece or are closed at the opposite end you want something that is open at both ends.
Also, make sure that the table isn’t too wide. This will make it difficult to work on someone across from you because you or they are going to stretch out the whole time and it can get very uncomfortable.
Just remember you don’t have to buy these exact tables. They are more an example of what you should look for when getting a manicure table. But if you buy on amazon please buy through my links it would help out a lot.

Rolling Manicure Table
4.1 rating with over 340 reviews on Amazon
Well, this is absolutely a must-have if you travel a lot. Easy storage for your nail equipment and nail polishes. The only real downside I see is when it is fully loaded it might get a bit heavy to lift in and out of a vehicle.
Some things I find also a bit “too much” are the speakers. Not everyone wants to listen to a radio or music, especially if you are at a client’s house and if it breaks or you don’t like the quality of sound you are basically just lugging extra weight with you. But this is totally my opinion and others might see it completely differently.

Fixed manicure tables
Wood top manicure table
4.7 rating with over 28,000 reviews on Amazon
Don’t be put off by the image with computer monitors on. A desk can have multiple purposes and this desk can work perfectly as a manicure table. It is open on both sides so you can easily get chairs on both sides of the table.
The normal manicure tables you get tend to be flimsy and weak. That is why I rather recommend a normal computer desk that can be used for a manicure table instead. A lot more sturdy and a lot larger so you have enough space to do your work and a bit extra. The simplistic design will let it fit in with the most modern designs and will look good in any salon.
Just make sure to get a desk that doesn’t have and support bar or closing on the opposite side. This will make it difficult to help someone that is sitting across from you. I also recommend getting a plastic cover to put over your desk to protect it from all the chemicals and make it easier to clean.
I can recommend this to anyone actually. It is priced more or less the same as a foldable manicure table and it is a lot studier and larger. The only reason you would get a normal manicure table is for the portability of it because believe me this desk isn’t portable at all.
You can also look into getting extra storage, I did a post on Nail Salon Organization and Storage Shopping Ideas that you can also go look at to find new ideas.

Very similar to the above desk in price and size. Just in case they don’t have it in stock or you are looking for a slightly different look.
Glass top manicure table
4.7 rating with over 1,340 reviews on Amazon
This or others like is a perfect table for a nail tech. The glass top makes it a breeze to clean and you don’t need any plastic cover over it. The glass makes it resistant to the chemicals used when doing nails and makes wiping off the dust an easy task. Also, it is a lot more hygienic, no chemicals can seep into the tabletop and result in contamination over multiple uses.
There are a few downsides to a glass manicure table. The first one is that it gets scratched over time and it isn’t much you can do to stop it unless you want to put a plastic cover over it.
Another downside is the cost. Glass top tables are a bit more expensive than wood top tables and tend to be a bit smaller even for the price.
I would still recommend investing in a glass table and look for a clear glass because scratches don’t show so easily on it. They are a lot more hygienic and easier to clean and most likely last you a long time.
